Erdman Anthony is an ISO 9001:2000-certified firm. ISO certification is conferred by the International Organization for Standardization on firms using an internationally accepted set of standards for operating a quality management system. With an already-established quality program, Erdman Anthony was able to convert to ISO 9001 standards in a relatively short time frame. This certification is noteworthy in our industry, as we are one of very few engineering firms in the nation to have achieved ISO 9001:2000 quality process certification.
As an ISO 9001-certified firm, Erdman Anthony's internal procedures undergo internal and third-party audits on a regular basis, providing our customers with further assurance of Erdman Anthony's ultimate commitment to quality.
Erdman Anthony's "Business Management Manual" contains the company's quality policy and documents our standard practices designed to support efficient performance and keep employees focused on meeting client expectations.
Erdman Anthony's policies and procedures require that the project manager gain an understanding of client expectations and ensure that all project team members are aware of the project's technical, financial, and schedule requirements. Also discussed are the individual roles and responsibilities of the team members, our standards for conducting the work, issues of special concern to the client, and long lead time items that need to be addressed early in the project.
Clients have the opportunity to provide Erdman Anthony feedback at the end of every project. The company uses this important feedback in adjusting organizational performance and for developing new and innovative methods of practice as demanded by the marketplace.
Employees, too, have an equal opportunity to contribute towards our continuous improvement efforts. Regular staff meetings are held in each office to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of our policies and procedures. Major internal-improvement initiatives are executed through the collective efforts of a cross-sectional staff. This level of involvement improves the likelihood of success.
