  • Construction cost: $2.3 M

Millersville, PA - Owner: Millersville University
Built in 1940, Wickersham Hall is one of the older buildings on Millersville University's campus. Housing the university's mathematics department, the two-story brick structure is situated in the historic center of campus and serves as its focal point. This project involved renovation of 25,000 sq ft including interior walls, floors, and ceilings; and upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems. Exterior renovations included the addition of a 1,000 sq ft two-story entrance to accent the new main entrance of the building.

Erdman Anthony provided the design for interior building systems upgrades, which included electrical distribution, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, telecommunications, video, and sound. The HVAC design portion of the project involved an energy recovery ventilation system, toilet room exhaust, air control terminals, ductwork, and existing cooling tower and boiler water pumps. Plumbing fixtures, domestic water piping, and sanitary lines were replaced throughout the facility. Electrical design included new distribution panels, lighting, branch wiring, emergency lighting, and a data cabling subsystem, as well as video projection and sound system upgrades.

Erdman Anthony also provided survey work for the facility's new parking lot configuration and the addition of the new entrance, and structural design for the two-story addition.
