Erdman Anthony Wins ACEC-NY Platinum Award for City of Buffalo Large Main Restoration Project

The project included rehabilitating approximately 11,000 feet of transmission main within a robust, century-old system. The City of Buffalo chose Erdman Anthony to design a suite of solutions, including a system for dewatering the lines, performing video inspection of the existing water mains, fabricating over 1,000 36-inch, 48-inch, and 60-inch joint seals, excavating access pits, removing old valves, installing the joint seals, and installing 18 new 36-inch and 48-inch valves. The firm also provided construction engineering and inspection services.

The ACEC-NY black-tie award recognition gala takes place in March 2023 in New York City.
