The Project:

Erdman Anthony handled mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design for a new 81,200-square-foot warehouse in Manassas, VA, that opened in 2023. The warehouse was built to be a regional e-commerce distribution and order-assembly center.

Features/Solutions:

New features at the warehouse included a 2000 Amp 480V, 3PH, 4W electrical service; 9,200 square feet of freezer space; 18,725 square feet of refrigerated space; and 4,700 square feet of office and break-room space.

Impacts:

Our firm’s MEP design supported the expansion of Giant Food’s delivery footprint and helped advance other goals at the company, including improving service for online shoppers and giving them greater access to an assortment of goods from food and beverage producers based in Virginia.
