  • Drainage improvements
  • Box-outs
  • Significant undercuts
  • New permeable sub-base and new concrete pavement
  • Extra-wide shoulders to accommodate later stages of traffic
  • New signs, delineators, and landscaping

The bridge work included significant repairs to two large culverts, widening and deck replacement of the bridges over Skaneateles Creek, and replacement of the Cold Spring Brook bridges.

Impacts

The reconstruction updated and improved this vital infrastructure.

Off-site wetland mitigation for 12 acres was also part of the project. Safe maintenance and protection of traffic were key considerations.
