The South Florida Water Management District’s new S-333N spillway structure is the first component of the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP), which includes a suite of storage, treatment, conveyance, and seepage management measures.

This fully automated, electrically operated two-gate spillway, which works in conjunction with the existing S-333 structure, is part of helping to protect wetlands and preserve a fresh water supply.

The South Florida Water Management District chose Erdman Anthony to provide design and a value engineering analysis that realized significant cost savings. The firm also provided key construction oversight.
