PennDOT District 9 Roadway Re-Alignment Project Wins Award

Author: Erdman Anthony/Wednesday, February 3, 2021/Categories: Awards, In the Community, Our Industry, Our people

The Canoe Creek intersection improvement project along US Route 22 in Frankstown Township, Pennsylvania, a PennDOT District 9 project, has won the Associated Pennsylvania Constructors 2020 TQI Community Connection and Enhancement Award, which was presented during a virtual ceremony in October.

The multiple intersection realignments, road widening, and other improvements have created safer conditions for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. A new shared-use trail and a trail underpass have connected the existing Lower Trail to nearby Canoe Creek State Park, a favorite destination for hikers, fitness walkers, and bicyclers.

Erdman Anthony provided construction observation and documentation for the project.
