THE PROJECT The Town of Southwest Ranches sought to improve 1-mile of roadway and associated side streets along SW 188th Avenue (from south of SW 63rd Street to Griffin Road), a residential subdivision with commercial properties at the end of the project limits.
Under this Transportation Surface and Drainage Ongoing Rehabilitation (TSDOR) work order, Erdman Anthony designed roadway plans and provided bidding services, construction administration services, on-site representation, preliminary budget estimates, and construction observation.
FEATURES/SOLUTIONS The improvements included reconstruction of the roadway along SW 188th Avenue, regrading for drainage swales, and resurfacing of the side streets along the corridor.
IMPACTS This improved roadway provides safer and smoother travel conditions for residents and commercial traffic.
