Engineering Project Case Studies | Erdman Anthony

MEP & Fire Protection Design

Rochester Regional Health needed to renovate a portion of a two-story building in Geneva, New York. The area renovated was operating as an open MRI and urgent care center on the first floor, with three separate tenants on the ground floor. A part of the lower level, approximately 6,400 square feet, was renovated to include a medical practice. Erdman Anthony provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection design for the renovations to the building.

The project included renovations to the southern portion of the first floor to be used as medical exam and office spaces. The newly renovated space will be operated as a private, independent health care practice.

Rochester Regional Health required that the renovation design comply with Article 28 of the New York State Public Health Law, to the greatest extent practical, and sought guidance on upgrades or replacements where existing systems could not meet those requirements.
